5 ways to switch your residential trips up
Although residential visits are not mandatory, they are a key part of the school year. The Conway Centres, recently awarded The Best Residential Experience at this year’s School Travel awards, provides children and young people a unique opportunity to claim their independence, make their own decisions and build new friendships.
A residential is a great chance for children and young people to enjoy an adventure-filled few days but at Conway Centres they can work with you on a tailored programme to bring your classroom learning to life. All of the activities and programmes have been specifically designed to support with the curriculum to ensure your children get the most out of their visit.
With four locations across Cheshire and North Wales, Conway Centres has a centre perfect for every year group. Why not consider progressing through the different centres or programmes?
Primary schools often bring their Year 1s or 2s for their first residential to the Delamere centre and then their year 3s to the Burwardsley centre to learn about the Iron age. The largest Cheshire centre in Tattenhall is great for year 4s before they experience the Anglesey centre which is the home of high adventure in Year 5 or 6.
Or if you are a secondary school a Year 7 Transition to Secondary residential is a great way to support them settling in or why not try out an Exam Support Course or Revision Adventure residential that will raise attainment in their KS4 exams? Groups can even progress beyond the centre on expeditions - with Anglesey’s coastline, the peaks of Snowdonia’s mountain ranges and glacial valleys right on the doorstep.
Your school, children and young people will be welcomed back by the same friendly faces and have the comfort that you know the centres and how they work. For multiple residential visits, discounts can be made.
