5 ways Conway Centres provides the ‘Best Residential Experience’.
Conway Centres are so pleased to have won the Best Residential Experience award at the 2023 School Travel Awards. At Conway Centres, our high-quality outdoor adventure & cultural residential courses are a powerful development experience that empower, inspire, challenge & develop young people, making an educational and life-changing difference.
Here's 5 reasons schools have voted us as the best...
We only employ the highest calibre of dedicated staff who are experienced in the education field. From outdoor tutors who have completed relevant degrees and have years of experience in the sector to our arts tutors who have worked with leading artists across the world – our team will support you from the moment you book through to when you are settled back in the classroom.
“Instructors were amazing - all went above and beyond. Children enjoyed all of the activities and staff seemed to really care about the quality and coverage of the experience. Everyone oozed kindness and it’s the staff that make the trip worthwhile.” – The King's School
At Conway Centres, all of our activities and programmes are focused on the curriculum. Whether you book The Delamere Discovery programme and explore all the natural habitats to link to the Geography curriculum or your children are learning about the Iron Age at the replica roundhouse at Burwardsley - we understand a residential should be an extension of your classroom learning which is why we ensure the curriculum is at the heart of everything we do.
We know that every residential should be as unique as the school that visits us which is why our specialist team can support you with creating a bespoke programme that supports your school’s focus and your children’s needs. Whether you have particular subject areas you want to incorporate in to your residential or you have specific personal development goals - our team specialise in creating bespoke courses.
“Post covid our children needed to develop their resilience & problem-solving skills - the course definitely helped us with this” – Peartree Primary School
We understand children may feel a sense of uncertainty and nervousness when going on their first residential or to a new residential centre. At Conway Centres, we offer progressive residential visits where children can visit all centres at different points of their school years. Schools tend to start their school residential visits in Year 2 where children experience their first ever residential at our Delamere centre before they progress to the Burwardsley centre in Year 3. In Year 4 or 5 schools bring their children to visit the largest Cheshire centre - Tattenhall before in Year 6 they visit our Anglesey centre, which is home of high adventure. Children will be welcomed back by the same familiar faces whilst having an entirely new experience every time
