Based at our Conway Centres: Anglesey we have an excellent range of facilities for both the Performing and Visual Arts. We offer high quality education aimed at encouraging creativity, providing opportunity & raising attainment.

The Drama GCSE weekend is an exciting 3-day course aimed at Year 10 or 11 pupils from a variety of schools across the UK. Weekend courses will involve students working with a range of theatre professionals and utilising their skills to deliver unique programmes, giving students the opportunity to network with like-minded people.

All students will have the opportunity to take part in each of the carefully planned workshops throughout the weekend, with different drama practitioners. The residential weekend is led by Gav Cross who has a long association with the Conway Centre, Gav has worked with many theatre companies and educational establishments, in various guises, such as: Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, The Everyman Theatre, The Chester Gateway and much more

Desired Outcomes

Introduce a wide variety of theatre techniques and expertise from professional directors, lighting technicians, stage designers, musicians, writers and actors.

Develop competence in a range of practical, creative and performance skills which will positively impact on the pupil’s achievement at GCSE.
